Strange summer, strange times. The Corona virus is raging and the world in lockdown, but Sweden going its own way.

It’s summer vacation time. If we exercise care and social distancing we are OK to holiday within our national borders. We want to start our holiday with a roadtrip like we’ve done in summers past so we pack the car and head north.

First stop is Hjortnäs in Dalarna to meet Pia and Gizmo. Gizmo is Coopers brother, one of his seven siblings. Pia has a cottage by her house and puts us up for the night. We have dinner in the garden in the summer evening while the brothers take turns at chasing each other and Gizmo’s toys around the house, stopping for about 30 seconds every now and again to catch their breath.

The next morning we continue north heading for a hostel in Hoting.
