Day 9 – Back in Göteborg
From Lübeck it’s about 90 minutes drive on the autobahn to Rostock and the ferry back to Scandinavia. We are early and make the obligatory stop at BorderShop to stock up on provisions. Now there is more liquid in the car than if we had a full tank of petrol!
The ferry back is as busy as the one on the way down. We get a table in the buffé restaurant and are guaranteed a seat (and all the food we can eat!) for the two hour crossing. This time we know the deal and sit tight until all the rude and hungry passengers have raided the buffé.
The drive up to Copenhagen requires a charge and this is the only time we have encountered a problem on the whole trip: neither the charging card not the charging apps seem to work in Denmark. We try several chargers but they all reject us. Finally I install another app, put in my credit card information, and to our great relief the charger coughs and stutters and starts charging.
Over the big bridge and back on Swedish soil again. The drive to Göteborg is long and boring but familiar. A top up charge in Halmstad and then we are back home on Miragatan at around 9:30 pm, 9 days and 3850 kms later. A fabulous trip and a great start to the summer vacation.
