…and it’s the Easter weekend. Time to leave the city and head to the summer house. The traffic is thick and slow but I sit back relax to Bad Flamingo’s magic spagetti western sound and take it nice and easy.
It’s still 23° when I arrive in Kolhättan and line up for the ferry to Svanesund. The sun is shooting out rays behind the clouds as it sinks towards the island. The trees in the distance glow green as they begin to sprout leaves. A gulp of cormorants are relaxing on the lighthouse rock. The harbour is full of boats again, shaking off the winter blues and preparing summer adventures.
At the summer house there is a cacophony of birdsong and the ground is covered with anemones. Yes, spring is finally here.
