After two successful summer road trips to northern Italy in an electric car, and with a dog, we decided to do it again. We booked the ferry from Gedser to Rostock and set off down to Malmö and across Öresundsbron early in the morning on Saturday the 12th of July.

The ferry was packed with Scandinavians rushing south for some guaranteed summer warmth and sunshine. Wise from previous trips we booked a table in the buffet restaurant which guaranteed that we were sure to have a seat for the 2 hour trip, and plenty of crumbed fried rödspätta (plaice) with chips.

This year we subscribed to a charging provider to keep the costs own. It limited our options and for the first time we had to queue to charge. This was a new and slightly frustrating experience, but in hindsight, we did save quite a bit of money.

From Rostock we got on the autobahn to Potsdam and our first overnight stop. We arrived late, very tired after a long day and went straight to bed. Hence no photos of Potsdam in this post.
