Tractor Day at the Myckleby parish and historical society is an annual event on Orust not far from where we have our summer house. Locals, summer guests and mechanical enthusiasts of all ages gather to review and judge the local tractor talent, sell home-made jams and cordials, peruse the flea market, or just meet and spin a few yarns. The tractor pulling event pitching man (men, women and children) against lovingly preserved diesel tractors always draws a crowd. It’s a fantastic day that usually ends with a good downpour.
