Tractor Day at the Myckleby Parish and Historical Society (hembygdsförening) is probably the main event of the year on the inland side of the island of Orust. The second Saturday in August, for the 19th consecutive year this year, tractors, steam engines and old cars in varying states of repair are brought out and proudly put on display.
A flea market, local crafts, as well as jams, cordials and conserves line tables outside the red barns and cottages of the historical society. Raffles are held to raise money for charity and there is live music and entertainment with a local touch. This year got a good start as the expected rain held back until the afternoon.
