The temperature dropped to more normal November levels this week. Drove to the summer house for some peace and quiet after a hectic week at work. A warm and crackling fire in the stove keeping out the cold and compact darkness outside is incredibly satisfying and relaxing. 

On Saturday morning the flakes were dropping slowly from the grey sky and the ground was dusted with a light sprinkling of snow. The absence of colour is as depressive as the lack of daylight but not as obvious. It’s not all gone though, look closely and you will still find smatterings of it on shrubs and plants.
