Got up a little earlier to have breakfast, pack and getaway so that we would get to Rostock in time for the ferry which departed at 1:30 pm. Had to squeeze in a charge and a visit to the Bordershop to stock up on alcohol. Ended up at the same charging station we had stopped at on the way down. No queue when we arrived but as we were charging the Danes started turning up and a line of waiting vehicles began to form.
We made it in time to do some shopping and get a good spot in the queue to the ferry. The ferry trip was uneventful. Sat in the buffet restaurant again even though the boat wasn’t as crowded as when we came down.
As we drove towards Copenhagen and the Öresunds bridge it began to rain. On the news they warned of torrential rain and flash floods later in the day but luckily we were ahead of them. Just before Copenhagen we stopped for another charge and witnessed as some buddhist monks tried to channel energy from a charging post to their van with some difficulty.
The rest of the trip was uneventful and we arrived home at 9:30 pm to a stinking hot and stuffy flat. The weather had been as hot all week in Göteborg as it had been where we were on the continent.
GREAT TRIP!! …but, as always, it’s really nice to come home to your own bed.
